Bee keeping and honey making becomes more enjoyable if you are able to do it through your own effort and enjoy your effort. Different people that are active in the art of bee keeping either take it as a business or as a hobby. Honey is produced by the worker bees in a colony . Worker bees begin by making combs as areas where they will bring up the young ones and also as honey storage units. Pollination takes place when the bees go from flower to flower collecting nectar and pass pollen grains in the process. Nectars are juices with different sugar concentrations and thy have some benefits. Bees produce enzymes from their bodies that makes them turn the sucrose into glucose and fructose that in turn makes the honey.

There is another enzyme , glucose oxidase that turns a small amount of glucose into gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide. The gluconic acid makes the honey resistant to fungi , mold and any other type of bacteria. The hydrogen peroxide provides the honey with short term protection as it ripens or made ready for the larvae to be consumed as food. Different nectar content influence the taste and the color that the honey will have. There is nothing wrong with being hooked on a certain color of honey but the fact is that color of honey does not in any way affect the quality of the honey.
